Detailed description of Crossings At Grove Park, The
Crossings At Grove Park, The, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Durham, North Carolina.
With the signature island green 12th hole, The Crossings Golf Club is one of the most unique layouts in the Triangle area. With four sets of tees, the golf course presents a fair test to golfers of all skill levels and abilities. Course Architect Ron Garl has created a gem in Durham. The course first opened for play in November, 1997.
The Front Nine features rolling terrain and panoramic vistas. The Back Nine meanders through acres of wetlands with water on seven of the nine holes

For the money, this is a real great track that is under rated and a GREAT tune-up for the other higher priced area tracks. For late November the greens were VERY fast. I had 88/36 putts and my son had 40 putts as being aggressive didn't pay off for him on the greens. Looking forward to returning in warmer weather seeing what I can with alittle course management.

Make sure you bring the cart back by the "deadline" or they come looking for, scream to "pick up your ball now".....even when there's light left - 8pm during the summer. We were told by the "cartman" he's been there sine 6:30 am and he wanted to go home. Dave in the proshop is a great guy though. They still "backed" the "cartman". A lot of up and down hills though. Course is kept in pretty good shape.. A day or 2 after rain some of the holes (3 or 4) are pretty bad, holding the water.

Fairways were Nice....Greens are still not back up to Par (alitte bumpy but some rolled ok)

Greens were soft and fuzzy, probably due to rain and lack of mowing. Lots of ball marks, otherwise would rate the greens as very good! REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS FOLKS! Was not real busy, had to bypass a foursome, but very happy and played 27.
